“The collaboration between the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) and the Cape Town Fashion Festival (CTFF), heralds an unique era of imbedding an iconic event in the mainstream economic activity of the Western Cape. The relationship seeks to cement the idea of Fashion and Jazz by a mutual symbiosis – CTFF adds the glamour while CTIJF lends the exposure. It is envisaged that much like other popular events on the Cape Town social calendar fashion, and the industry behind it, will become synonymous with Jazz and what the CTIJF stands for.
This year 3 vibrant, young, emerging designers will produce garments which will be featured at the “Fashion and all that Jazz” event taking place at the CTICC on Thursday evening 27th March. The evening promises to be a fresh, funky and fun evening with garments being modelled by students of FEDISA, awesome food from the kitchens of internationally acclaimed, Executive Chef, Warwick Thomas and music from local boy, Jimmy Nevis and UK funk jazz outfit, Shakatak.
So, get your dancing shoes on, step out in your freshest, funkiest outfits and be prepared to rub shoulders with other performing artists from this year’s edition of the CTIJF. The evening is one no social climber should miss. See you there.”
